Abstract:Based on field research, the species composition, geographical distribution and resource status of national key protected wild plants were studied and evaluated. The results showed that there were 36 species of national key protected plants in Yingshan County, including 2 species in the first class and 34 species in the second class, accounting for 23.22%, 18.18% and 23.61% of the distribution in Hubei Province. The geographical distribution of 36 species of national key protected wild plants varied widely, with some species having narrow distribution, in only 2-3 provinces, and some species having wide distribution, in more than 10 provinces. The habitats of 36 target species are diverse and their economic values are diverse. Among them, 27 species are medicinal plants, accounting for 75.0%.Most of the species are in three protected areas in Yingshan County, which are well protected. Due to the narrow distribution area and high habitat requirements of the target species, as well as their slow growth, hard fruiting and over-mining, the wild resources are relatively small and some species are facing extinction.
