Abstract:In view of lack of targeted research on fullcrown transplantation of large-sized container seedlings of Cellis sinensis in China, two comparative experiments had been conducted on different root cutting time and frequencies of C.sinensis in a nursery to analyze effects of various operating methods on growth and development of seedlings, for providing technicalsupport for fullcrown transplantation of large-sized C. sinensis. The results showed that root cutting during dormancy significantly enhances seedling growth compared to root cutting during growth, and multiple root cutting treatments could significantly improve seedling growth compared to single root cutting treatment in the first year.It is recommended that in the actualfullcrown transplanting operation, if preparation period is long, the root cutting treatment should be carried out in advance during the dormant period of the tree .
