The colored plant resources and landscape effects in different seasons were investigated according to the gar- den green spaces in Jinan city, the results show that there are 49families 69genus and 111species (varieties , variants and cultivars) of colored plants in Jinan city. There are 32species of ever-colored leaves , 16species of spring-colored leaves and new-colored leaves,54species of autumn-colored leaves , 12species of spot-colored leaves , and 16species of colored branches . At the same time , The authors summarized problems in the application of colored plant landscape in Jinan city, and put forward the future development planning strategies , with a view to serving the future urban and rural garden spaces of plant landscape construction in Jinan city.
