Abstract:Scientific research capacity of 18 forestry higher vocational colleges is analyzed from the perspective of scientific papers, patents, criterion and scientific outcome achieved from 2011 to 2019, based on the data source from CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure). The results showed that scientific research capacity of China’s forestry higher vocational colleges was not high in general and unbalanced between colleges. There was a correlation between different perspectives, but their scientific achievements were not completely consistent. Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry was the champion in the papers and patents, Heilongjiang Vocational Institute of Ecological Engineering ranks the first place in drafting technical criteria, and Hubei Ecology Polytechnic College was dominant in number of appraisal of scientific research. The measures to improve scientific research capacity of forestry higher vocational colleges are proposed.
