Abstract:The large container afforestation for perennial seedlings is one of the effective measures for local precious tree species afforestation extension, forest quality precise improvement, natural forest restoration and other projects. Six different substrates and four different types of container bags were used to comparative study in the experiments. The results showed that different substrates and different containers had significant differences on the growth of Manglietia yuyuanensis seedlings, and the substrate and container models had an interaction with each other. According to the comparative and comprehensive analysis of seedling quality, seedling cost, afforestation cost, afforestation survival rate and other indicators, it is recommended to adopt substrate ratio (bark 50%∶rice husk 30%∶soil 20%) and container diameter of 10 cm for seedling cultivation.
