Abstract:The main fatty acid composition and its correlation with seed traits of 40 strains of Camellia oleifera clones in Jiangxi Province were studied. The results showed that: (1) The oleic acid content of Camellia oleifera clones was between 75.83% and 85.91%, with an average of 81.90%, the content of linoleic acid was between 5.43% and 12.56%, with an average of 7.40%;the content of palmitic acid was between 5.27% and 10.39%, with an average of 7.94%;stearic acid content is between 0.42% and 3.14%, with an average of 1.66%. There were significant differences in the variation of fatty acid composition among different clones. The coefficient of variation from large to small was: stearic acid (40.34%), linoleic acid (18.45%), palmitic acid (16.43%), oleic acid (2.49%);The content of saturated fatty acids in Camellia oleifera clones was between 9.61% and 12.45%, with an average of 9.61% and a coefficient of variation of 13.35%. The content of unsaturated fatty acids was between 89.30% and 91.75%, with an average of 89.30% and a coefficient of variation of only 1.48%. (2) Correlation results showed that oleic acid was significantly negatively correlated with linoleic acid and palmitic acid, and positively correlated with single fruit weight, fruit height and single fruit seed number. linoleic acid was significantly negatively correlated with single fruit weight and fruit height, which provides a certain reference for the breeding of Camellia oleifera varieties.
