We used the fuzzy similarity priority ratio method to analyze the similarity priority ratio of each county in Shiyan city with that of major cities in China and Mediterranean area.The results show that Shiyan climate can be divided into three types.The first type is located in the eastern extension of Daba Mountain,which includes Fangxian,Zhushan and Zhuxi counties;Hanzhong in Shanxi province,has the most similar climate with the first type.The second type is located around the Danjiang reservoir area,including Yunxian county,Danjiangkou city and the downtown area of Shiyan, which is called the Hanshui type;Hefei in Anhui province and Laohekou in Hubei province have the most similar climate with the second type.The third type is located in the eastern extension of Qinling,including Yunxi county,known as Qinling type;Laohekou in Hubei province and Hanzhong in Shaanxi province have the most similar climate with the third type.According to the climate similarity principle,the plant introduction and development of forestry industry in Shiyan can be planned based on the above three regions that have the most similar climate to Shiyan,such as Hanzhong city of Shanxi province and Hefei city of Anhui province.These regions are regarded as the main seed sources for plant introduction and the key places for the study of the development of agriculture and forestry industry of Shiyan.
