Ecological tourism is emerging as a new tourism development form with the imp-rovement of national economy and people's living standard.Enshi City was regarded as the research object in this paper,on the basis of summarizing the research status of ecological tourism in Enshi City,the SWOT analysis was used to clarify the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges of ecological tourism in Enshi City,besides, its tourists’source characteristics and market positioning were also investigated and analysed.The fi-nal countermeasures and suggestions were put forward for the disadvantage and challenge of the current situation,The researchers hope the findings will provide some definite scientific foundation for the future of development and research direction of ecological tou-rism in Enshi City.
