Abstract:In order to accurately evaluate the effect of theXinjianxi hydropower station construction on biological diversity of Xingdoushan National Nature Reserve Hubei Province,a comprehensive survey of the biodiversity status has been made in this area.This paper mainly elaborated the effects assessment on landscape/ecosystem,biomes,species/population,the main protection objects,biosafety and social factors.Evaluation concluded that the impact of the proposed station project on biodiversity in protected areas considered as“minor impact”,and suggestions are proposed to reduce ecolotical risk．
