Abstract:Cytospora canker of poplars is a forest pest with rapidly increasing harmfulness in Hubei in recent years, and its main host (poplars) is widely planted in Hubei. The pathogen, *Cytospora chrysosperm*, infects the branches and trunks of poplars, leading to their death. Based on the forest pest risk analysis index system, a multi-index comprehensive evaluation method was used to quantitatively analyze and judge the risk of poplar Cytospora canker. The results showed that the risk value of poplar Cytospora canker in Hubei Province was 2.01, indicating that it is a moderately dangerous forest pest in Hubei. This result will provide a basic scientific basis for the research on comprehensive prevention and control technologies against poplar Cytospora canker in our province.
