Abstract:Through coupling the relationship between forest structure and function using principal component analysis model, the management status of Jiangle national forest farm in Fujian province was evaluated. The results show that the subcompartment proportion, which were graded as excellent, good, midium, poor and very poor, were 4.32%,20.02%,60.73%,8.79% and 6.14%, respectively. For this farm, there is an urgent need to formulate an scheme of forest multifunctional management to improve the quality of forest and through adopting reasonable management measures, the forest functions were better used to meet the needs of the local economic and social demand for forest multifunction. This results provided theoretical and technical support for the intensive farming of the south forest area.
