Abstracts:Combined with indoor process of forest resource planning design survey, the methods and steps of establishing ArcGIS geographic information database, editing of vector, inputting sub-compartment data and designing of drawing layout were introduced in this paper. Mutual converting method of ArcGIS geographic information system and other graphics software were also explored to promote the application of ArcGIS geographic information system in the forestry thematic mapping. In addition, the prospect and pattern of modern digital forestry were also discussed.
