Abstracts:By the comparison experiments conducted in five exotic families of Catalpa fargesii Bur. f. duclouxii (Dode) Gilmour in seeding stage, the analysis was made about the oneyear old growth differences. The results showed that seedling height among the five families has significant difference. Both the seedling and ground diameter grew fastest from August to October. The growth peak is all in October. The differences of Variance analysis of leaf lengths, petiole lengths, chlorophyll were significant. The best one is Gaimai5 among 5 exotic families, The authors provided basis for selection of seeding stage and scientific management of families of Catalpa fargesii Bur. f. duclouxii (Dode) Gilmour.
