Based on surveying data of sample plots of Phyllostachys pubescens Mazel in Xian'an district of Xianning City,the effects of aspect,gradient,slope,humus thickness,crown density and stock density on the increment of Phyllostachys pubescens Mazel.were analyzed.At first,we used the six site factors to make stepwise regression analysis,the result showed the gradient,humus thickness and slope were the main factors on growing of D.B.H.Then taking the six site factors principal analysis,make the six variables turn to two principal components,and this two components' cumulative proportion got to 78.5%.And it calculated each of sample-plot's two accounts of principle components.At last,basing on the result of principle component analysis,we make the forty sample-plots cluster.
