Selection and research on 35 Pinus armandi Franch.provenance and mid-test through 10 provinces(districts and cities)in the Three Gorges Region for 26 years have achieved result,and provided scientific basis in range and direction of allocating the seeds and developing the tree species.The suitable provenance of such tree species has been identified based on a large system data of the provenance selection obtained firstly in the Three Gorges Region.The most suitable species for afforestation in the region is the seed of Chongqing Chengkou,that raises 60.1% than provenance volume of Badong in Hubei Province,raises 22.3% than average value volume.
