The butterfly resource in Daguisi National Forest Park was reported in summer of 2005. A total of 74 species from 42 genera and 7 families were identified based on butterfly specimens collected in the survey and published materials. The detailed classification of the 74 species was showed as follows: 16 species, 4 genera in Papilionidae; 12 species, 6 genera in Pieridae; 12 species, 4 genera in Satyridae; 23 species, 17 genera in Nymphalidae; 1 species, 1 genera in Libytheidae; 6 species, 6 genera in Lycaenidae; 7 species, 4 genera in Hesperiidae. Among them, 28 species and 7 species are first recorded in this district and in Hubei respectively. According to the investigation, the results show that the main elements of the fauna in this region are oriental species.
