The article described a contrast test on growth situtation of poplar varieties introduced and cultivated recently to Hubei province. The result indicates that the so(?)thern types of poplar are suitable for planting in Hubei province. Nanlin895,Nanlin95,Nanlin220,Nanlin1388,321 are superior to the original variety of Zhongjia5 in this province.
