Abstract:Nitrate reductase activity,amino-acid nitrogen and total nitrogen content of Betula luminifera are obviously higher than that of Cyclobalanopsis glauca. Distribution of NR activities of Cyclobalanopsis glauca with leaf's>stem's>root's in various organs is quite different from that of Betula luminifera with leaf's>root's >stem's. Distribution of amino-acid nitrogen content are similar to that of NR activities. It indicates that capabilities of nitrogen assimilation and storation of Betula luminifera are higher than that of Cyclobalanopsis glauca and its growth keeps active.
